"I am appalled that NATO have appointed Danish Prime Minister Rasmussen as its new Secretary General as a person who refused to condemn the vicious and racist cartoons and is now going to try to build links with Muslim countries.
As Muslims we were deeply offended by the cartoons and the dismal response from the Danish Government.
In relation to Afghanistan the international community now accepts that a military campaign will not achieve success - rather will lead to further isolation and hatred."
