
6th roundtable meeting of project of advancing of social justice for women within an Islamic framework was at the International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI). The meeting was presided over by Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik, Rector IIUI, Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui, President IIUI and Mr. Alin Choat, the country Head of Asia Foundation were the Chief Guests. The meeting was attended by scholars, Academicians, Khatteebs, ulamas and representatives of women. The meeting approved a curriculum that has been prepared for the creation of awareness and training of the
religious leaders regarding women rights. This meeting was the last in the series of the first phase of the project. Professor Fateh Muhammad Malik and Dr. Anwar Hussain Siddiqui congratulated the project team for completion of the first phase and preparation training activity through utilization of this curricula will be helpful to train the scholars in Pakistan for creation of awareness of human rights. Mr. Alin Choat, country representative of the Asia Foundation thanked the authorities of IIUI for their cooperation in the project. He congratulated the project team for completion of the first phase of the project and ensured that Asia Foundation will continue to cooperate in this regard.
Those who attended the meeting include Dr. Sahibzada Sajid-ur-Rehman, Director, Dawah Academy of the University, Dr. Tahir Mansoori, Dean Faculty of Shariah & Law (FSL), Professor Dr. Mohammad Ziaul Haq, Project Manager, Dr. Ali Asghar Chishti, Dean, Faculty of Arabic, AIOU and others.
