Indian PM’s speech unrealistic hold referendum in Kashmir: JKSM

Srinagar: In Srinagar, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement and Senior APHC leader, Zaffar Akbar Bhat has said that Indian Prime Minister, Dr. Monmohan Singh should accept the fact and reality that Kashmir is a disputed territory and its future is yet to be decided adding that Singh’s remarks on India’s Independence day on Kashmir as unrealistic.
Bhat in a statement said Kashmiri people are sacrificed their lives for the achievement of their birth right to self-determination. Zaffar reminded the Indian premier the promises made by Indian first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and said Manmohan should adopt the realistic approach and shun military might policies against people of Kashmir.
Zaffar said farcical elections under huge Indian forces could never be the substitute of Kashmir issue adding that India is one of signatories of the United Nations Security Council resolution of Kashmir. He said that Kashmir should be resolved in the light of UN resolutions or through a tripartite dialogue involving India, Pakistan and representatives of people of Kashmir.
Zaffar challenged India to hold a referendum so that everything could be clarified. He said that APHC is the true representative organisation of the people of Kashmir, which represent the sacrifices, and sentiments of the people of Kashmir.
Zaffar Akbar Bhat paid glowing tributes to Jan mohammad Ahanger who was martyred by India troops last night at Tral Pulwama.
Meanwhile Zaffar Akhbar Bhat strongly condemned the act of state terrorism in Handwara. Troops in Mawar area of Handwara in north Kashmir on Sunday attempt to molest a young girl. Bhat said such brutal activities could not stop the people of Kashmir from demanding their right of self-determination. He urged India to withdrawal its forces from Kashmir----NNA
