CHENNAI: Transport Commissioner S. Machendranathan declared all regional transport offices (RTO) and unit offices as tobacco-free at a meeting organised by the Department of Public Health and Preventive Medicine here recently .He said “We will also ensure that State-run buses do not promote tobacco products by way of advertisement."
No smoking’ warning boards would come up at RTOs.
He also said.“This would ensure that those visiting these offices would not be affected by passive smoking,”---NNA
