Bank Alfalah has offered its customers to pay utility bills through Step-By-Step monthly installment plan. As per bank official at call center this offer is to facilitate consumers but if we see this promotion in real ground, this promotion might put consumers into trouble when electricity and Sui gas bills are already out of control. The ministry has recently proposed 06 percent increase in electricity bill to Government of Pakistan.
Under the promotion, any consumer opts for payment through credit card will have to pay following service charges to bank initially. After that 02 percent of the bill amount will be charged as processing fee. The utility bill should not be less than 3000.oo rupees. Continue reading »
