Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal Mr. Tanveer Mehmood Ahmed paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani at the PM’s here this afternoon.
The Prime Minister appreciated the services rendered by him during his tenure as Chief of the Air staff for making the country air defense impregnable. He said that the nation was proud of him. He specially mentioned the efforts of the Air Chief in modernizing the Pakistan Air Force. He hoped that new Chief of Air Staff would continue this process of modernization.
Mr. Tanveer Mehmood Ahmed thanked the Prime Minister for his support during his tenure as the Chief of Air Staff.
