Ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr

The Ambassadors-designate-of Algeria, Belgium, Norway, Portugal, Romania, Tajikistan, Tunisia and High Commissioner designate of Sri Lanka to Pakistan presented their credentials to President Asif Ali Zardari at a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr today.

H. E. Mr. Ahmed Benflis, Ambassador designate of Algeria, H. E. Mr. Hans Christian, Ambassador designate of Belgium, H. E. Mr. Robert Kvile, Ambassador designate of Norway, H.E. Mr. Santos Braga, Ambassador designate of Portugal, H. E. Mr. Emilian Ion, Ambassador designate of Romania, H. E. Mr. Zubaidullah Zubaidov, Ambassador designate of Tajikistan, H. E. Mr. Mourad Bourehla, Ambassador designate of Tunisia and H. E. Air Chief Marshal Jayalath Weerakkody, High Commissioner designate of Sri Lanka called on the President separately and presented their credentials. In their meetings they discussed bilateral as well as matters of mutual interest.
Earlier, upon arrival of the envoys at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the National Anthems of Pakistan and their respective countries were played and the envoys were presented Guard of Honour by a smartly turned out contingent of Pakistan Army. They inspected Guard of Honour and took Salute.
