Islamabad - May 15, 2009: Employees of Ufone have pledged one day salary as humanitarian aid to the devastated victims of the disrupted Swat.
A large number of people have been displaced from Swat, Dir, Buner and Malakand due to the activities of the militants and subsequent response of national security agencies. To share the agony of the effected Pakistani nationals, Ufone’s employee from all over Pakistan have donated one day’s basic salary for this national cause.
Speaking at the occasion, Mr. Abdul Aziz Khan, President $ CEO Ufone said, “Ufone with a unanimous decision of all the employees and the management has decided to come forward and share the burden of these displaced immigrants”
“We are not only a competitive telecom leader in the industry but an organization that has always been working towards an orderly corporate social responsibility plan including ways of supporting our brethren in need”, Mr. Aziz added.
